Dragon Isles event - July 2017

Remember that food is automatically added to the food counter; 1 food per 5 minutes, with a max of 60 on the counter at a time. You also get one free full refill per day.

WHERE DO I GET THE RUNES TO UNHEX THE MAGICAL ARTIFACTS?

From the Rune Heads that are scattered around on the quest islands. On the quest islands, they are rather small and tend to hide amongst the bushes and grasses. Look for the sparkles that surround them.

WHAT DO I DO WITH THE COINS I RECEIVE FROM UNHEXING THE MAGICAL ARTIFACTS?

Turn them in to the Dragon Queen when you have enough; you will receive gifts of stamps, gems, runes (for unblocking) and upgrades to island rewards.

WHERE DO I EXCHANGE RUNES TO TRY AND GET THE RIGHT TYPES I NEED?

Right here:

WHERE DO I PICK UP STAMPS EVERY 4 HOURS?

Southwest of the exchange wagon:

WHAT ARE THESE BLUE AND WHITE COINS I'M GETTING?

They are called good deed points, and you earn them for every action on the quest islands in the event. Each day, if you do well enough inside your own "faction" (color group), you can get a multiplier at the end of the day and earn more than what you earned for your actions on the islands. And if your whole team wins the day, then the whole team gets 24 hours to convert them at 2X inside the Karma Machine for luck coins. Luck coins are used to purchase past event items in the shop on the main, regular island. For more explanations, see this guide to May's Event, the first one featuring this system.

WHERE IS THE KARMA MACHINE?

There is one on the main event island, but you also have a permanent one on your own main, regular island that you placed somewhere. You can use either one of them to turn in good deed points, but remember - ONLY turn them in for luck coins on a day that you have a 2X showing in the machine.

Main event island Karma Machine is here:

    1. Unfortunately, no, the 15 day events never come around again. However, the rewards from the event will eventually be put in the luck coin shop and you can save luck coins to buy items from old events.

The arch islands, the ones accessed via the map icon in the lower left corner, are repeatable, though. It costs gems to restart, you start over at the very beginning, and you cannot earn another of any reward you previously managed to earn on that island set. You also have to be completely caught up on all available arch islands on the map before you can go back and restart any previous arch island.

  2. Once you start the Dragon Isle event is there a way to get back to the main island?

    1. Yes, just click the map icon in the lower left corner, then when it turns into a door, click the door and then click "sail away".

  4. 3 choices:

~ Wait until the next 8 hour gift of runes (right side of the screen)... if you have a lot of food to spend, you could grab a box or two of stamps so that the food doesn't go to waste.

~ Go to the exchanger and make an exchange, if you have enough of the other runes to do so. If possible, do a 2 or 3 box exchange, because you lose fewer runes per box that way.

~ Spend real money on runes

  5. Does anyone know how many levels there are and is it possible to actually complete the dragon isle quest? Thanks K

    1. If you mean game levels for the game in general, there are at least 31 levels.

The only way to complete side islands (except the Camp arch set) is to either spend real money or carefully saved gems. Side events are strictly optional and not finishing them will not affect your main game play.

  6. Are you talking about the current Fairy Tales event? If so, you do not collect ribbons from the fairy, you get them TO the fairy godmother. You collect 1-2 ribbons every time you get rid of a blue monster.

If you're talking about the Dragon event (which this post is for the dragon event), then you'll have to give me more info about what's going on.

    1. Well, first of all, it's not October 17th yet, it's only October 11th today.

I don't include breakdowns of the arch islands, sorry. Just pay attention to the tutorials as they each come up and you'll be fine.

Dragon Kingdom is actually a very old arch island at this point for people who have been playing for a long time. It is done slightly differently than the current 15 day events. Instead of picking up items along the way on the quest islands, you can only get them every 3 hours on the main arch island, and every 8 hours from the "big gift/free gift" icon on the right side of the screen.

If I recall correctly, there is no exchanger for the tokens, you're stuck with what you get and that's all unless you buy more with real money.
