How do I fix my friend bar in Island Experiment?

Many people do not give the game the proper permissions when first installing the game, and therefore the game cannot access their friend list on Facebook. This results in no FB friends showing on the friend bar. Neighbors will show, but not friends.

Occasionally, the game will glitch and remove the friend bar, for no apparent reason.

If you're having this problem, the fix is a simple one.

First, go to Facebook's Game Management Page. On that page, you will see an icon for Island Experiment. Look below it and you will see a gear wheel. Click that, and a box will pop up.



Look down at the bottom of the box, and you will see "Remove App". Click that, and it will remove the game from your Facebook. Don't worry! You will not lose progress in your game!



After the game is removed, go back to the FB homepage and type Island Experiment in the search box. Click on the game name, then reinstall it. If at any time it asks you for permission to access your friend list, be sure to tell it yes.

That's all there is to it! You should now be able to see ALL of your FB friends on your friend bar now, starting with the ones who do play.... your non-playing friends will be all the way at the end of your bar, below all players of all ranks.
