How many workers can I have in Island Experiment?

Every player should start the game with 3 workers: Jules, Diana and Albert. Jules looks sort of like Mr. T, Diana is blonde, and Albert is an older guy wearing a lab coat. If you do not have all three of these workers when you first start playing, contact support immediately.

In a later quest involving a spider cave you will earn one more worker, David, a young guy who wears glasses. You will blow up a spider cave, Diana will lose her hearing, and when you fix her hearing, she will hear cries for help. You will soon find out that David is trapped in a spider web and needs to be freed. Once you free him, he will be your worker for the rest of the game. (Note: do NOT go around knocking down every spider web you see, looking for him. He will only be trapped when that quest comes, you cannot get to him sooner.)

Later in the game you will eventually come to an arch island side quest called "Timenarium". If you can complete all the islands in this set you will earn Carrie, a dark haired girl, as a new worker. This arch set is very hard to do, and the only way to complete it is with gems. If you are careful and save your gems before you get to that point, you can easily have enough to finish the set. Most people need around 150-200 gems, possibly more if you don't get to play very often.

This makes a total of 5 workers that you can get for free in the game, if you play your cards right and use your gems wisely to get the Timenarium worker.

The week after Christmas, 2017, the game offered Ling as a lottery prize, or to be purchased with real money:

At any time, you can buy one worker with real money, and the cost does sometimes vary. Sometimes you will see an offer pop up on your game, and that offer usually has a bonus with it of some kind, like a few gems with purchase. If you don't get a pop up though, you can always buy one by setting all your characters to work then clicking the worker icon at the top left. It should first pop up an offer to sell you a worker before showing you where all your workers are busy. (Note: this is not working for every player for some reason. But it should for most. If you want to buy one and it is not working for you, contact support.)

Occasionally, even if you have bought one worker with real money, you will get a second offer to buy another one with real money. This offer will pop up on your screen, and the icon will stay on the right side of your screen for several hours, up to a day perhaps. Once that offer is gone, you will have to wait for it again if you want to buy another one.

You will sometimes see players with more than the 8 workers already described. There was a Festival of Deliveries a few months ago that had a worker named Sandy as one of the top prizes, and some people won her. In addition, some of the players who have been here for a long, long time will have more workers. Some started the game with 4 workers rather than 3, and some of the very first players started with even more than that. Generally speaking though, 9 is the most you will hear about from current, long-term players.

Go back to the top of the page, first paragraph, and the link to the page about contacting support is at the end of the paragraph.

    1. If he has a name, I don't know it. I don't think he has a name, though.

  4. Thanks! I guess I can call him Chuck or Bill. I thought he might have one since they named the 1917 Christmzas special Ling.
